A Beautiful Christmas

Howdy, folks! Welcome back. Have you melted into a puddle yet? Man, the heat this summer is something else. I know, I know. We Texans are used to summers being extra when it comes to heat. But this particular summer is EXTRA extra. Maybe it feels particularly bad because the last couple of summers have been mild by comparison. Not sure, but I’m placing my vote for an early fall! Anybody else?

On the upside, I guess you could say that the heat is forcing us all to find productive things to do inside, which is magic words in the ears of any paper crafter! So as we’re dreaming of cooler weather, I’m pulling out the Christmas sparkles. There are SO many good things hitting the store next week. And today’s razzle dazzle card has a little bit of it all — Neutral Noel foiled paper, Season of Celebration ephemera, and the Twinkling Tidings hot foil bundle.

We keep things pretty simple so that our focal panel takes center stage here and get started with a base of white cardstock. The background panel is a sheet of the beautiful Neutral Noel foiled paper. Our focal panel starts with the Twinkling Tidings image hot foiled in green. We add the tree image by stamping over the tree with Peaceful Pine ink and then cut out our panel with the arched die from the coordinating Twinkling Tidings dies. A larger arch is cut from textured gold specialty paper using the Everyday Arches dies. A beautiful sprig of evergreen and poinsettia is added to the bottom corner of the panel with dimensionals. And then we finish things off with a few rhinestone jewels.

This one is sooo beautiful in person. It’s difficult to capture all of the glints of light you see from the foiled elements. Tomorrow I’ll be taking a little crafty break to get ready for the team blog hop on Thursday where I have grand plans for a bigger 3D project to share. We have a busy day slated for the office tomorrow also, so we shall see if my grand plans come to light. I hope you’ll drop by because I’ll have something to share either way.

Hey There, Friend

Welcome to Monday, where here in North Texas we’re starting to look like the Thanksgiving dinner rolls when no one remembers to set the timer. Needless to say, we’re extra crispy with a side of char over here. Send rain and cool temps stat!

This week, we’re continuing our razzle dazzle design theme because there is still so much good sparkly stuff from my new stash of goodies that I want to show you. And in keeping with thoughts of cooler weather ahead, we’re getting another look at the August Product of the Month. The Glow of Harvest paper is absolutely stunning and pairs beautifully with the new Buffalo Plaid hot foil plate and several of the new papers.

We get started with a neutral base of Pecan Pie cardstock for this easy fun fold card. I used the leftover piece of Cherry Cobbler paper with Buffalo Plaid foil for the left-side panel and then a small strip of a sheet of the POTM Glow of Harvest paper for the smaller panel on the right. The small focal image is from the diecut sheet from the Autumn Opulence paper pack and then our sparkly leaves are diecut from a sheet of the new Woodland Glimmer paper using the Sweet Words & Labels leaf dies. Our sentiment is from the Sincerely Noted ephemera pack. And we put all of our image and sentiment elements together on a backdrop of white shimmer vellum from the sunset shimmer pack that is cut with the Sweet Words & Labels die and adhere it just to our right panel with some dimensionals. A few pearlized faceted circles are carefully placed around our focal panel and really help our sentiment pop.

I can’t wait to show you one of the new Christmas foil bundles tomorrow. It is simply stunning. I hope you’ll drop in and check it out!

Glow of Thankfulness

Welcome to the weekend! It’s a busy one around here as I play catchup in all the ways. From music planning to house chores to crafting, I’m working to squeeze in time for all of it.

I’ve taken a couple of hours to get all the new crafty goodies unpackaged and have played around with a few things. I just don’t even know where to start, you guys! The new hot foil products that will drop in a few weeks are just fab and I’m in love with this month’s Product of the Month. Have you checked out the Glow of Harvest paper? It’s pearlized so it’s got this perfect pearly glow. So I’m combining several of the new lovelies for today’s card — the Buffalo Plaid hot foil die, the Glow of Harvest paper, and the Framed & Fabulous stamp set.

Since the card base will not show on the card front, you can choose any complimentary color you wish. I went very neutral with Very Vanilla. The foiled buffalo plaid panel is a sheet of Cherry Cobbler that is hot foiled with the new Buffalo Plaid die and new red foil. And next to it we put a sheet of the gorgeous Glow of Harvest paper. The focal image is a diecut included with the new Autumn Opulence paper pack. Underneath our image we’ve tucked in the sentiment panel. Our sentiment is from the new Framed & Fabulous stamp set and is heat embossed in gold and then diecut with the Stylish Shapes large banner die. A few red sequins give us a pop of sparkle to draw the eye across the card front.

We’re going to be continuing our razzle dazzle card series next week because….well, I have lots of sparkly things to show you! I hope you’ll drop in and check out what’s going to be coming your way SOON!

Better Coworkers

Howdy, friends! Thanks for dropping by. I’ve been a little under the weather this week and haven’t felt like doing much the last couple of days.

To be honest, I just wanted to drop into bed when I got home from work today, but it’s my co-worker’s last day tomorrow and I needed to whip up a special card for him to wish him luck on his next grand adventure. And in the spirit of this razzle dazzle week, we’re making a masculine card that has some pizzazz with a combination of the new Tile Garden dies, the retired Dream Team stamp set, and the Shimmering Stripes specialty paper.

To keep things on the masculine side, we’re starting with a base of Pool Party cardstock and then a sheet of the narrow striped paper from the Everyday Essentials paper. I used the new Tile Garden dies to cut two squares of the Shimmering Stripes paper to serve as the backdrop for our focal elements. They’re mounted askew on our card front for some visual interest and movement. We use the Dream Team stamp set to stamp our images — the coffee cup, computer, and desk plant — and then fussy cut them. Stampin’ Blends help give us some additional color on our plant. The sentiment from the set is stamped and then diecut with one of the smaller Branching Out banner dies. They’re all adhered with dimensionals in varying layers to give us some depth of scene. A few riverside irregular pearls finish things off with a glimmery sheen across our card front.

I really love how this turned out. The playful sentiment and arrangement of images is very fitting for the recipient of this card who is full of zest and character. And I think that’s one of my favorite things about being a paper crafter — having the ability to make something that is perfect in every way for the intended recipient!

I’m sooooo excited to play with the new hot foil goodies that arrived this week. I hope I’m feeling up to making a few previews tomorrow evening!

Christmas Joy

Welcome back, everybody! As I’m sure you could tell, yesterday didn’t exactly go as planned. By the time I had the free time to craft, my giddy up had gone and went! Alas, that’s the way it goes sometimes.

But I got some inspiration and a little time today and pulled out the new Neutral Noel suite and a few other new releases to pull this one together as we continue our outdoor frollicks.

So for this one, we get started with a base of Peaceful Pine cardstock. The backdrop is a sheet of the red plaid paper from the Creative Celebrations paper pack and then we finish it off with strips of the gorgeous gold trefoil from the Neutral Noel pack. We wrap the whole caboodle with some festive tricolor twine. Our focal panel starts with a large white oval panel that’s cut with the Noel Tidings dies and then machine embossed with the new Dreamy Snowflakes embossing folder, we affix to that two evergreen wreaths also cut with the Noel Tidings dies. To that we add a sprig of evergreen and poinsettias from the Season of Celebration ephemera pack and top it all off with our sentiment banner, also from the ephemera pack. We finish everything off with a pop of sparkle with a scattering of red sequins.

Tomorrow we’re going to trek along with Mr. Frost. I hope you’ll drop by!

Christmas Magic

Howdy, friends! Welcome to the nest. I’m glad you’ve stopped by today. This week, we’re designing around the great outdoors. And today is one of the cards where you have an idea but you have to pivot. I had this grand idea using one of the new holiday sets that will launch in September but then didn’t have quite enough time or brain power to pull it all together. But I had enough pieces to make a variation of yesterday’s layout with a little holiday magic from the Season of Celebration ephemera pack.

So we get started with a base of white cardstock and then use a sheet of the gorgeous Shimmering Stripes glitter paper as the backdrop. I pulled the gorgeous Christmas plaid paper from the new All Wrapped Up paper pack. HINT: if you decide to use the new foiled paper, it’s much thicker paper and the foil bit do not tear easily since they’re more stretchy than fibrous, but I used the paper snips here and there to help keep the tearing going. I adhered my two sparkly panels together with tear and tape for added adhesiveness. The panel is then wrapped in silver-edged sheer ribbon before adhering it to the card front with dimensionals. Our focal section uses a couple of images from the Season of Celebration ephemera pack and then a couple of stamped evergreen branches using the new Noel Tidings stamp & die bundle. It’s adhered to our card front with several layers of dimensionals so it stands nice and proud above our ribbon. We finish things off with a few of the new sparkle sequins.

We’re continuing our trek in the great outdoors tomorrow. Who knows — maybe I can get that card in my head out on paper! You’ll have to drop by to see. *wink*

Dreamy Warm Wishes

Welcome back for another sneak peek at all the new goodies in my crafty stash and a whole batch of products that will release in the September holiday catalog! I loved yesterday’s layout so much that I decided to do a little variation and throw in a few more glimpses of what’s to come. Just look at those dreamy snowflakes! The new bundle is just a gorgeous as it looks here!

So we get started with a base of Pool Party cardstock and let just a tiny bit peek around the edges of our background panel of Shimmering Stripes glittery paper. The panel is wrapped with some iridescent striped ribbon for a little touch of see-through sparkle. We’re using the Scalloped Christmas Cheer dies again to create our focal panel out of some Pool Party shimmer paper and then add some extra texture by running it through the new Dreamy Snowflakes embossing folder. And we’re using quite a few layers of dimensionals to be sure the panel stands nice and proud. Our focal section consists of three elements. In the background we have our delicate snowflake cut from blue and white shimmer vellum using the new Dreamy Snowflakes dies. Our focal image is the cute snowman from the Season of Celebration ephemera, along with the warm wishes sentiment. Dimensionals give us some depth of scene here. And we finish things off with the twinkle of clear snowflakes on our focal panel and a few iridescent sequins in opposing corners to draw the eye across our card.

This layout is super simple and very eye-catching. Definitely one to have in the stash when you want to put together a cute card in a hurry! Tomorrow I’m setting aside some time to complete the new gold foiling class and can’t wait to show you some of the results!

Fancy Heartfelt Thanks

Hey, friends, guess what day it is?! We’re halfway through this week already. Whew. Just like that. And we’re also halfway through a week of designs using new products fresh to the crafty stash!

As promised, today we’re getting a sneak peek at a new set of dies that will release with the September holiday catalog — Scalloped Christmas Cheer dies. These scalloped rectangles are the perfect dress-me-up addition to your designs. And we’re pairing it up today with another peek into the new All Wrapped Up paper pack that will also release in the new holiday catalog. I tossed in a few of my current faves, like the Sincerely Noted ephemera, and a couple of my super loved retired goodies, like the butterflies.

We get started with a base of Peaceful Pine cardstock. The foiled backdrop from the All Wrapped Up paper pack coordinates perfectly. The focal panel backdrop is a scalloped rectangle cut from a sheet of the Velvet Meadow paper using the new Scalloped Christmas Cheer dies and adhered over some gold striped sheer ribbon using dimensionals. The sentiment is from the Sincerely Noted ephemera pack — a current go-to of mine for something quick and mess-free — and is mounted on the scalloped panel with dimensionals. We finish things off with a beautiful gold butterfly and a few gold glitter dots from the 2025 Advent calendar.

I’m still in the clean and simple frame of mind, and there are lots of things in the crafty stash that make it a snap to put together a clean and simple card. Tomorrow we’ll preview some Christmas product for grins. I hope you’ll stop by!

Wishing the Very Best

Happy Tuesday, everybody! It’s the last week of summer break for us, so we’re getting in all the last minute trips for clothes and shoes and supplies before it’s off to high school next week. Is it time for school to start in your area?

I’m having fun finding ways to use some of the new goodies that have arrived over the last couple of weeks. And today we have another little sneak peek of a product that will launch with the September holiday catalog — the Softly Woven embossing folder. It’s the perfect complement to the Everyday Essentials patterned paper.

We get started with a base of Misty Moonlight cardstock. The focal panel base is a quarter sheet of Misty Moonlight that’s machine embossed with the Softly Woven embossing folder and then a strip of the Everyday Essentials paper is adhered on the left side. The sentiment from the Sincerely Noted ephemera pack is mounted over a Bubble Bath linen bow using dimensionals. And then we finish things off with a few adhesive blooms. So simple, but isn’t it lovely?!

Tomorrow we’re going to play with some new dies. I hope you’ll drop back and check it out.

Wrapped in Hellos

Howdy, friends! Glad you stopped by. I took a little break last week for some professional work training and had oodles of catching up to do once I got back to the office at the end of the week. So there wasn’t any crafty time for me. Womp-womp! But I’m looking forward to diving in to brand new goodies that arrived while I was gone. And I’m also looking forward to snagging a few more goodies that go live for demos this week. There’s so much good stuff coming your way!

How would you like a little sneak peek at some goodies that will launch in the new September holiday catalog? I’ll drop a few little golden nuggets here and there over the course of this month. Today I’m previewing a gorgeous new pack of paper called All Wrapped Up, which includes a full set of foiled designs. Several of the new packs offer foiled papers, and quite a few of those are the thick, sturdy cardstock that would be perfect for gift boxes!

Today’s card starts with a base of Peaceful Pine cardstock. Our focal panel begins with a sheet of the new All Wrapped Up paper and is matted with a panel of Pool Party cardstock. The sentiment is from the Sincerely Noted ephemera pack and coordinates perfectly with this paper. I added some sheer silver-edged ribbon behind the sentiment and a few shimmering dots around the edges for the perfect pops of sparkly goodness.

I’m still in the clean and simple mindset and I loved how these products coordinated so perfectly. I’m looking forward to sitting down with my new foiling system and trying my hand at some of those new goodies this week too! I hope you’ll drop in and see what I pull out next!
