And that brings us to our card design for today. This week, we’ve been giving the Florals in Bloom suite a bit more attention and pairing it with other items in the crafty stash. Today’s combo includes the Country Woods patterned paper and brushed silver specialty paper. Let’s check it out.
We get started with a base the new In Color cardstock called Cloud Cover. The background panel is a piece of the lovely Florals in Bloom paper that is matted on brushed silver and adhered directly to the card front. I cut a piece of the blue woodgrain pattern from the Country Woods paper pack using the Everyday Arches dies and adhered this focal panel to background panel. Using the Pretty Florals dies, I cut stems and florets from a combination of Shaded Spruce, Pretty in Pink, and Strawberry Slush cardstock. The flowers are assembled with glue dots and each is adhered to the focal panel with dimensionals of varying heights. Using the Sweet Blooms dies, I cut the sentiment from a combination of brushed silver and a piece of pink shimmer paper from my retired stash bin. You could easily get the same shimmery effect by cutting from any shade of pink and then covering with Wink of Stella. I used my glue pen to adhere the two parts of the sentiment together. The sentiment is adhered over the flowers with extra dimensionals to be sure it stands above. We finish things off with the pink gems across the card front.

Our product focus this week is Stampin’ Up!’s Inspiring Snapdragons bundle, which includes a coordinating cling stamp and die set. We’ve explored using the stamps and dies together and independently in this week’s designs. Today’s card is pairing a sketch from my sketch book with Inspiring Snapdragons stamps and several of the new In Colors.
We get started with a card base of Summer Splash cardstock. The decorative element behind the focal panel consists of a mat of Petunia Pop In Color glimmer paper and Petunia Pop cardstock that has been machine embossed using the Cute Crochet embossing folder. The focal panel is matted with a trio of Summer Splash cardstock, Summer Splash In Color glimmer paper, and a sheet of Unbounded Beauty designer paper. The focal panel is white cardstock diecut using the Radiating Stitches dies on which I then stamped the smallest snapdragon in a combination of Shy Shamrock and Petunia Pop. The dragonflies are stamped in Smoky Slate on white cardstock and diecut using the coordinating Inspiring Snapdragons dies. I covered the wings in Wink of Stella for a little realistic shimmer. Each dragonfly is suspended in air with a dimensional. The sentiment panel is diecut from Petunia Pop cardstock using the Spotlight on Nature dies and then the sentiment from Unbounded Love is stamped tone-on-tone in the center. I tucked Summer Splash bordered ribbon and white diagonal trim behind the sentiment panel. For some extra pops of sparkly color, I added In Color shimmer gems across the card front.

Howdy, everyone! It’s hard to believe that it’s time to bid adieu to the 2023-24 Annual Catalog and the January Mini Catalog, yet here we are gearing up to do just that. What does that mean for you? New catalogs always mean opportunities to score some of your favorite products at a discount, but it also means you have to be swift on pulling that trigger because when they’re gone, they’re gone!
Beginning April 9th, the Last Chance Products Sale begins and all of the discounted items will be marked down in the online store. Happy Monday, everyone! I hope you enjoyed a restful weekend. I had a quiet house this weekend with both of my boys gone, so I got to catch up with a girlfriend, work on some music, and catch up on some shows that neither of my boys like to watch.
